Primary Sjogren's syndrome,or dryness arthralgia,was first put forward by Professor Lu Zhizheng,a master of traditional Chinese medicine,and modern physicians had rich theories on its syndrome differentiation.After continuous improvement to 2023,there are five more comprehensive syndrome types:Yin deficiency and fluid deficiency syndrome,qi and yin deficiency syndrome,yin deficiency internal heat syndrome,dryness and blood stasis syndrome and dryness-dampness syndrome.Traditional Chinese medicine has achieved a certain effect in the treatment of Sjogren's syndrome through the combination of four diagnosis and ginseng.Western medicine believes that the development of chronic inflammation of this disease can be reflected by ESR and CRP.This article summarizes the correlation between TCM syndrome types and ESR and CRP in the pathogenesis of primary Sjogren's syndrome,in order to provide some guidance for TCM syndrome differentiation and combined treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine.
