Discussion on the Treatment of Post-adolescent Acne in Adult Women from the Perspective of Liver and Lung based on the Gut-Brain-Skin Axis Theory
Post-adolescent acne mainly affects adult women. As a chronic inflammatory skin disease, this disease is disfiguring and prone to recurrence, which can easily cause great adverse effects on the patient's body and mind.In recent years, studies have found that the gut-brain-skin axis theory plays a major role in the pathogenesis of acne. The TCM pathogenesis of this disease is closely related to qi disorder and fluid distribution disorder, which is closely related to the function of the liver and lungs. The synergistic effect between the liver, lungs, large intestine, and skin has a certain correlation with the gut-brain-skin axis theory. Therefore, this article analyzes the feasibility of ex-plaining the treatment of post-adolescent acne in adult women from the perspective of the liver and lungs through the gut-brain-skin axis theory, and provides theoretical support for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of post-adolescent acne in adult women in TCM.
