Deafness and tinnitus are often compared in clinical practice.The recognition of deafness and tinnitus from the perspective of TCM has a long history and significant curative effect.As early as the pre-Qin period in China,the《Huangdi Neijing》,as a masterpiece of traditional Chinese medicine,had already fully elaborated on deafness and tinnitus,which also laid a solid and powerful theoretical founda-tion for the formation of the later knowledge system of traditional Chinese medicine.Most of the post-medics deduce and develop on the ba-sis of the《Huangdi Neijing》,but do not go beyond its scope.Therefore,the article on deafness and tinnitus in《Huangdi Neijing》was extract-ed to summarize and analyze its etiology,pathogenesis and treatment in order to provide guidance and enlightenment for clinical practice.
