Mechanism of PI3K/Akt/mTOR Signaling Pathway on Membranous Nephropathy and Research Progress in Traditional Chinese Medicine
Membranous nephropathy(MN)is a group of diseases characterized by the deposition of immune complexes under the epithelial cells of the glomerular basement membrane with diffuse thickening of GBM.The main clinical manifestations of this disease are high edema and massive proteinuria.Long-term massive proteinuria can lead to progressive decline in renal function and even develop into end-stage renal disease.Traditional Chinese medicine has good efficacy in treating proteinuria and antagonistic hormone adverse reactions. The forma-tion of proteinuria is closely related to podocyte damage.[Jnder physiological conditions, podocytes have high autophagic activity.Current studies have found that the autophagy signaling pathway PI3K/Akt/mTOR has a regulatory effect on podocyte damage and may be a target to reduce podocyte damage. This article is based on the mechanism of action of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway on membranous ne-phropathy and the related research on traditional Chinese medicine treatment of this disease,in order to provide reference for the research on the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of membranous nephropathy.
