Treating Premature Ovarian Failure from the Perspective of Spleen
Premature ovarian failure(POF)is a common gynecologic disease.Nowadays,traditional Chinese medicine treatment of prema-ture ovarian failure has gradually entered the public's view because of its good efficacy and mild adverse reactions.The spleen is the biochemi-cal source of qi and blood,and the foundation of the day after tomorrow.It can transport and transform water grains,transform qi and blood,nourish the uterus and even the whole body.The abnormal transportation and transformation of the spleen is closely related to premature ovari-an failure;however,clinical Chinese medicine generally believes that premature ovarian failure is based on kidney deficiency,and most of them focus on the liver,spleen and kidney,with syndrome differentiation and addition based on kidney nourishing.The occurrence of prema-ture ovarian failure is implicated in the pathogenesis of liver,spleen and kidney.The abnormal circulation and transformation of the spleen is closely related to liver depression and kidney deficiency.Therefore,starting from the spleen,this article summarizes the understanding and treatment of premature ovarian failure by ancient and modern doctors from three aspects:strengthening the spleen,replenishing the kidney and invigorating the spleen,and alleviating the liver and strengthening the spleen,in order to jointly treat premature ovarian failure.
