For a long time,western democratic values have influenced the discourse of Chinese humanities and social sciences,and have a strong impact on the political attitude and political behavior of college students.In the new situation,it is of great practical signifi-cance and application value to study how to carry out democratic values education in ideological and political courses in higher vocational colleges.This study believes that in the teaching of ideological and political courses,we should break and stand together,deconstruct the hegemony of western democratic discourse,build our own democratic discourse system,and further emphasize"democracy"deeply,thor-oughly and vividly,so as to cultivate the democratic values of college students in the new era.
