Mitigation Effect of Water on Seed Initiation Under Salt Stress
Salt stress affects the germination of wheat seeds and the formation of yield.Studying how to effectively alleviate the pres-sure of slat stress is a very important role in improving the yield and quality of wheat. In this experiment, two wheat varieties,Lumai 21 and Jinan 17,were chosen as examples. The wheat seeds were treated with water as initiator, and the initiation time and moisturizing time were set to form the treatment combination under different conditions.Through the measurement and analysis of the morphological and physiological indicators of the seedlings, this experiment explored in which priming treatment conditions wheat had better resistance to salt stress. The results of this experiment indicated that the suitable water priming treatment could significantly improve wheat seed vigor under salt stress. For Lumai 21 and Jinan 17,the salt stress is better alleviated when the water is triggered for 10min and kept for 12h.
