Transknowletology focuses on the role of translation in knowledge transformation,providing a new theoretical perspective for the study of translators'subjectivity.In the late Qing Dynasty,Chinese intellectuals confronted unprecedented societal upheavals,which pushed them to translate western knowledge in hope of reshaping Chinese scholarly discourse and enlightening the public.Notably,Yan Fu's translations played a pivotal role in constructing modern frameworks of knowledge.His translation of A System of Logic became a typical example of introducing and disseminating western logic knowledge,which promoted the development of modern logic disciplines in China.In the process of translation,Yan Fu actively demonstrated his agency as a recipient,re-constructor,and disseminator of knowledge throughout the entire chain of knowledge production and dissemination,fully showcasing the translator's subjectivity.
