One-Dimensional Transient Response Solution of Incompressible Unsaturated Porous Media with General Boundary Conditions
Based on Zienkiewicz's wave equation for unsaturated porous media, assuming that both solid particles and liquid are in-compressible,and considering the effects of inertia, viscosity and mechanical coupling,a mathematical model for one-dimensional tran-sient response of single-layer unsaturated porous media were established with general boundary conditions by linear combining total stress, fluid pressure, displacement of solid and fluid relative displacement.Firstly, the one-dimensional wave equation expressed by solid abso-lute displacement u is solved by the method of variable separation, eigenvalue and eigenfunction, and undetermined coefficient. Then the transient response results of incompressible unsaturated porous media were obtained by software programming. Finally, the results are used for analyzing the effect with different permeability conditions in this kind of porous media after being verified by comparing with previous literatures.
