Empirical Analysis on Influencing Factors of College Students'Interest in Participating in Public Physical Education:Based on Logistic Regression Model
This study is to explore the influencing factors of college students'interest in participating in physical education classes, which can provide strong theoretical and practical basis for improving the teaching quality and effectiveness of physical education classes.Convenient cluster random sampling was used to select 1000 college students from 10 universities.A questionnaire survey and mathemati-cal statistics were used to investigate 11 factors that may affect the interest of Chinese college students in participating in physical educa-tion classes.A logistic regression model was established to analyze the influencing factors. The recognition of physical education classes a-mong college students was P<0.05,the recognition of physical education teachers was P<0.01,and the desire for physical exercise and health was P<0.01,while the other eight variables such as college students'habits of physical exercise were not significant. The recogni-tion of physical education classes, the recognition of physical education teachers, and the desire for physical exercise and health among college students are the main factors affecting their interest in participating in physical education classes; The desire of college students for their own sports and health is P<0.01,indicating that contemporary college students have a strong motivation to improve their own sports and health; However, the two variables of college students'habits of sports and their thoughts on lifelong sports do not have a significant impact on their interest in participating in physical education classes, indicating that the teaching practice of physical education classes in Chinese universities deviates from the expected curriculum goals.
