Study on EGR Rate Uniformity of China 6 Diesel Engine
It focuses on a China 6 heavy-duty diesel engine,establishing a half model of the intake system to simulate and calculate the uni-formity of exhaust gas recirculation(EGR)rate.Based on the evaluation results of previous simulation calculations,advancing the mixing of exhaust gas and fresh air has benefits for EGR mixing uniformity.Combining with the bench test,two typical operating conditions were selected from the universal characteristic,including low load,high EGR rate and high load,low EGR rate to test EGR rate of each cylinder.The test results show that advancing the mixing of exhaust gas and fresh air significantly improves the uniformity of EGR rate for each cylinder,which is consistent with the simulation results.
