A jet scouring physical experiment with reduced scale and designed modular jet device was conducted to study the effect of the moving dual-jets structure on the ditching for fixing pipelines on the non-cohesive sand seabed, and to reveal the influence of jet velocity and nozzle translation speed on the characteristic size of the scour pit.The morphological change of the scour pit is analyzed by the shear stress at the boundary layer, and the scour parameters are introduced for dimensionless analysis. The results show that the section profile of the scour pit by the fixed-point jet is of centrosymmetry, and the longitudinal profile of the scour pit by moving jet has characteristic of geometric similarity. The characteristic size of the scour pit changes linearly with the jet velocity, and has a trend of increasing first and then decreasing with the increase of the nozzle translational speed.Furthermore, the moving jet can alleviate the siltation rate in the scour pit to a certain extent.
