A design scheme for an industrial intelligent gateway based on the single-chip microcomputer was proposed to convert industrial fieldbus into Ethernet.Bidirectional communication between gateway and terminal devices was achieved through the single-chip microcomputer in which the STM32F429ZIT7 chip was used as the main controller,together with the isolated RS485 transceiver and the Ethernet hardware protocol stack chip.The electric circuits were designed for the RS485 interface,Ethernet interface,clock,onboard power,and PD(Power Device).Based on the fundamentals of electric circuits,PCB(Printed Circuit Board)and reliability were designed to reduce electromagnetic radiation and improve reliability.With Modbus RTU as an example,the definition of the protocol was given to design the software for the slave device.The design scheme has been tested and proved to be feasible and reliable.
