Due to the imbalance between rural and urban development in China,the return of college students with high human capital to their hometowns for employment is of unique significance for rural development and revitalization.Existing relevant studies,which are mainly conducted from the aspects of employment environment and personality,have not explored from a holistic perspective the possible synergistic effect of these two aspects on the willingness of those students.This paper made an exploration of it from the perspective of configuration by conducting a survey based on the analysis of antecedent conditions and studying the 191 valid samples of rural college students obtained from the survey through Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis.The results show that among the six configuration paths,the willingness of rural college students to return home for employment can be stimulated by two antecedent configurations:hard work and policy support.
