Analysis of the field AC voltage withstand testing methods for GIS electromagnetic voltage transformers
As a core component of gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear,GIS electromagnetic voltage transfor-mers play roles in voltage measurement,protection,and metering within power systems.Field AC voltage withstand testing is the primary method for assessing the internal insulation of equipment,effectively detecting the insulation performance of GIS electromagnetic voltage transformers and preventing insulation defects introduced during installation and transpor-tation.Due to the unique layout and magnetic saturation characteristics of electromagnetic voltage transformers,field AC voltage withstand testing often cannot be conducted at the rated insulation level due to testing condition limitations.This paper analyzes the feasibility of conducting AC voltage withstand tests for GIS electromagnetic voltage transformers along with the main circuit,based on the equipment structure and layout.It proposes a field AC voltage withstand testing method,and the method's effectiveness is validated through practical application in AC voltage withstand testing scenarios for 363 kV GIS electromagnetic voltage transformers,providing a basis for standardizing field AC voltage withstand tests for GIS equipment.
