In order to find out the geometric influencing factors of the stress concentration of butt welds,based on the structural stress method,a finite element model was established to analyze the influence of the transition radius,weld height,weld width,plate thickness and other parameters on the stress concentration of the weld toe section.On this basis,the influencing factors of different structural forms of butt weld with unequal thickness(width)plate are analyzed.The results show that increasing the arc transition radius can reduce the stress concentration factor at the weld toe.When the transition radius changes from 0 mm to 6 mm,the stress concentration factor decreases by 15.8%.The stress concentration factor increases with the increase of weld height.Without arc transition,the stress concentration factor increases by 28.6%when the weld height increases from 0 mm to 6 mm,and the influence of plate thickness on stress concentration is expanded.The weld width has little effect on the stress concentration of butt weld,and the stress concentration factor fluctuates within 2.3%with the increase of weld width.When the unequal-thickness plates are butted,the difference between the stress concentration factor of the 1∶4 slope and the equal-thickness plate is at most 90.5%;when the unequal-width plates are butted,the difference between the stress concentration factor of the 1∶4 slope and the constant-width plate is at most 5%.
