Research Progress on the Adhesive Contact Mechanics of Quasicrystals and Piezoelectric Materials
Quasicrystals and piezoelectric materials,as advanced functional materials with multi-field coupling characteristics, have been widely applied in various micro-nano devices and structures. At the micro-nano scale, the mechanical behavior of the system is dominated by adhesive effects caused by various surface forces such as the electrostatic force, capillary force, and van der Waals force. In recent years, the adhesive contact behaviors of quasicrystals and piezoelectric materials at micro-nano scale have garnered increasing attention and research from scholars. This paper briefly introduces the classical adhesive contact theories and reviews the lat-est research progress on adhesive contact mechanics issues related to quasicrystals and piezoelectric materials, including theoretical and experimental studies on quasicrystal materials and theoretical research of piezoelectric materials. Finally,it provides a prospect for future research on the adhesive contact mechanics of quasicrystals and piezoelectric materials.
