Effect of Returned Straw on Rice Yield and Soil Fertility in Ningxia Yel ow River Irrigation Area
A field plots experiment was conducted to study the effects of crop straw on rice yield and soil fertility. The results showed that compared with the conventional fertilization treatment, the returned crop straw could significantly increase the grain yield of the rice,the grain yields of the rice increased by 12.4% and 17.9% with the half and the total amount of the straw returned to field respectively. Reused straw could increase the soil organic matter and available potassium content. The organic matter increased by 1.2 mg/kg and 2.1 g/kg,the available potassium increased by 16.5mg/kg and 24.7 mg/kg with the half and the total amount of straw returned to field respectively.
