Analysis of Pesticide Residues and Heavy Metal Element Content in Three Traditional Chinese Medicinal Materials in Ningxia
In order to carry out the determination of pesticide residues and heavy metal element content in honeysuckle, safflower and wormwood, which cultivated in Ningxia province liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry were used to detect 71 pesticide residues in three traditional Chinese herbs;Atomic absorption spectrophotometry was used to detect the content of plumbum(Pb),cadmium(Cd)and copper(Cu).Atomic fluorescence spectroscopy was used to detect the content of arsenic(As)and mercury(Hg).A total of 9 pesticides were detected in the collected samples of honeysuckle, safflower, and wormwood, including imidacloprid, acetamiprid, chlorfenapyr, fenpropathrin, fenvalerate, phosalone, bifenthrin, forchlorfenuron and azoxystrobin, with concentrations ranging from 0.020 to 0.370 mg·kg-1;The content of As,Hg,Pb and Cd are all in permissible range. The content of Cu in honeysuckle and safflower is 6.59~12.80 mg·kg-1,while in wormwood is 9.00~22.60 mg·kg-1.Among them, the content of Cu in two samples exceeds the standard. There are safety risks associated with pesticide residues and heavy metal elements in honeysuckle, safflower, and wormwood in Ningxia, and further monitoring should be carried out to clarify the quality and safety of these herbs.
