Spatial Dynamics of Alfalfa Thrips and Relationship with Crop Layout
[Objective]Clarifying the relationship between the spatial population dynamics of alfalfa thrips and crop layout in southern Ningxia mountainous area.[Method]The remote sensing images of four study areas in Southern Ningxia mountainous area were acquired by high-altitude remote sensing unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV),and the landscape pattern index was calculated after processing, and the relationship between landscape and thrips population dynamics was clarified.[Results]The results showed that the number of discrete core areas(NDCA),total boundary(TE),total area ratio(CA/TA),core area average area(Core-MN),and patch richness density(PRD)were related to the occurrence of thrips, and the correlation coefficients were-0.99~0.97.[Conclusion]It shows that planting alfalfa on terraces and terraces in the southern mountainous area has topographic advantages for thrips control.Thrips must rely on certain meteorological conditions to migrate when crossing undulating terrain. However, the fragmentation of the habitat can easily cause thrips to break out.
