The Impact of Social Networks on Farmers'Entrepreneurship and the Mediating Effect of Formal Credit
Using the 2018 CFPS micro data,this paper analyzes the impact of social network communication on farmers'entrepreneurial decisions and farmers'entrepreneurial profits through the binary Probit model and Tobit model,respectively.The study finds that social networks can significantly promote farmers'entrepreneurial decisions and increase farmers'entrepreneurial profits;The results of robustness tests are also true.Further gender segmentation finds that social networks have a greater impact on male entrepreneurship than on female entrepreneurship.Finally,through the mediating effect,it is found that social networks can be expanded to increase formal credit support to promote farmers'entrepreneurial decision-making and increase entrepreneurial profits.
