The development of molecular marker technology combined with breeding work has changed the model of plant breeding research.Many types of molecular markers have been developed and applied,and together with advances in sequencing technology,the process of crop improvement has been accelerated.Molecular markers play an important role in germplasm resource evaluation,backcross transfer-breeding screening,trait aggregation,early selection of breeding materials,QTL mapping,etc..The application of these technologies will better facilitate the cultivation of new crop varieties.The existing problems in the application of molecular marker-assisted selection are analyzed.The application prospect of molecular marker-assisted selection in breeding is prospected.
