Study on Adaptability of Different Forage Oat Varieties in Saline-Alkali Soil
[Objective]The aim of this study is to screen forage oat varieties suitable for planting in saline-alkali soil in Ningxia, providing a theoretical basis for forage oat cultivation and improvement of saline-alkali land.[Method]Based on previous field experiments,21 oat varieties were selected and planted in Dongfeng Village,Gaozhuang Township,Pingluo County,Ningxia.A single-factor randomized block design was adopted.Agronomic traits such as plant height, stem diameter, stem length, stem node number and flag leaf area were measured during the milk-ripe stage.Additionally, dry weight, fresh weight, and yield were measured after maturation. Finally, correlation analysis and membership function comprehensive evaluation were conducted on various indi-cators.[Results]Dongfeng Village,Pingluo County,Ningxia,is classified as mildly saline-alkaline land(the pH value is 9.03).Among the 21 oat varieties planted, comprehensive evaluation of various indicators revealed that AN222 had the largest leaf area, higher chlorophyll content, and significantly higher dry and fresh weights compared to other varieties. The N21 variety followed closely behind.[Conclusion]Based on the cluster analysis of various indicators,21 oat varieties can be divided into three categories. The first category, with strong adaptability, includes AN112,AN110,AN113,Sweet oat N0.1,AN222,AN248,A06,AN172,AN149,IN09,Sanxing,AN119,AN14,N21,IN01,AN11 and AN12.The second category, with moderate adaptability,com-prises AN181 and AN218.The third category, with poor adaptability, includes A05,and A03.A comprehensive evaluation indicates that AN222,N21,and Sweet Oat No.1 exhibit good agronomic traits, high yields, and are suitable for cultivation in saline-alkali soils in Ningxia.
