Study on Effect of Picking Time on Contents of Flavone and Polyphenol in Elaeagnus angustifolia Leaf Tea
Tea is widely consumed worldwide because it contains a variety of active compounds that are beneficial to the human body.Flavonoids and polyphenols in tea are often used as one of the important indicators to measure the efficacy of tea.For newly developed tea products, measuring the content of flavonoids and polyphenols is helpful to evaluate the efficacy of the tea.Taking the newly developed Elaeagnus angustifolia leaf tea as the object, orthogonal test was set to optimize the extraction conditions of flavonoids and polyphenols, and single factor test was used to determine the best reaction reagent dosage and time,so as to explore the effects of different picking periods on the contents of flavonoids and polyphenols in Elaeagnus angustifolia leaf tea.The results showed that the total flavonoid content and total phenol content of the leaf tea picked in mid-May,mid-September and late September were 1.086,2.534 and 1.219 mg·g-1,respectively,and 37.330,34.094 and 17.914 mg·g-1,respectively.The analysis of variance showed that there were significant differences in the contents of flavonoids and polyphenols between different picking periods(P<0.001).The results showed that the leaf tea picked in mid-September had the highest flavonoid and polyphenol content, which was the ideal picking period for preparing the leaf tea.The results provided a scientific basis for the production of Elaeagnus angustifolia leaf tea and had practical guiding significance for agricultural production.
