Effects of Sowing Rate and Mixed Sowing Combination on Planting Year Performance of Mixed Grassland in Mountainous Area of Southern Ningxia
To study the effects of two mixed sowing combinations of Bromus inermis+Dactylis glomerata+Cichorium intybus and Bromus inermis+Festuca arundinacea+Cichorium intybus, and three different sowing rates of 3.0 kg·667-1·m-2,4.5 kg·667-1·m-2 and 6.0 kg·667-1·m-2 on the grassland performance in the established year, two mixed sowing combinations of gramineae and compositae were established in abandoned terraces in the Mountainous Area of Southern Ningxia. The results showed that the mixed sowing combination was the main factor affecting the grassland productivity. The mixed sowing combination of Bromus inermis+Festuca arundinacea+Cichorium intybus had the advantage under the three sowing rates, and the biomass per crop was significantly higher than that of Bromus inermis+Dactylis glomerata+Cichorium intybus. The seeding rate affected the total biomass through the biomass of the second and third stubble, and the total biomass of 4.5 kg·667-1·m-2 was significantly higher than that of other sowing rate treatments. Both the mixed sowing combination and sowing rate had significant effects on the productivity stability. The productivity stability of Bromus inermis+Festuca arundinacea+Cichorium intybus was significantly higher than that of Bromus inermis+Dactylis glomerata+Cichorium intybus, and the productivity stability of 4.5 kg·667-1·m-2 sowing rate was the highest.
