Study on the Current Situation and the Relationship between Job Burnout and Work Ability of Community Workers in Yinchuan
Objective To understand the status of job burnout and job ability of community workers and ex-plore whether there is correlation between job burnout and job ability of community workers.Methods Ran-dom cluster sampling was used to investigate community workers in three districts of Yinchuan City,and the work ability index(WAI)and job burnout index(MBI)were used to measure their work ability and job burnout level.Results 1 275 valid questionnaires were collected with the recovery rate of 96.8%.In the Sample,3.7%of community workers had poor working ability,94.4%were in good level and 2.0%were excellent.By compar-ing the work ability level of community workers of different job burnout groups,it was found that there were sig-nificant differences in the work ability level of different emotional exhaustion,passivity and per-sonal achievement degree(P all<0.001).With the increase of job burnout degree,the work ability level showed a gradual upward trend.Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that working age,emotional exhaustion,personal achievement,adequate sleep and avoidance of alcoholism had significant effects on their working a-bility(P all<0.05).Conclusion Job burnout may affect community workers job ability.Improving the level of competence of community workers could be considered by eliminating emotional exhaustion,enhancing personal fulfillment,and getting enough sleep and avoiding alcohol abuse.
