The Application of Improved 3D Printing Percutaneous Guide Plate in Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy for Kidney Stones
Objective To explore the application efficacy of the improved 3D printing template in percutaneous nephrolithotomy for fragmenting and removing kidney stones, focusing on the design concept and material of the template. Methods The improved 3D printing template was designed with a hollow"D"shape and fabricated using photosensitive resin material.Among 53 patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy,10 patients were assigned to the experimental group, where the surgery were performed with the assistance of the improved 3D printing template, while 43 patients were assigned to the control group, where the surgeries were guided by traditional ultrasound.Clinical data, including the time for establishing the renal access, surgical duration,in-traoperative bleeding, postoperative infection rate, residual stone rate,pre-operative and post-operative creati-nine and hemoglobin changes, and length of hospital stay, were compared between the two groups. Results The experimental group exhibited shorter renal scope access time, less intraoperative bleeding, and reduced hospital stay compared to the control group(P all<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant differ-ence in surgical duration, changes in postoperative creatinine and hemoglobin levels,stone-free rate, and post-operative infection rate between the two groups(P all>0.05).Conclusion The improved 3D printing template can enhance surgical precision, reduce complications, and decrease hospital expenses in percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
