Long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)plays an important role in human cancers.Small nucleolar RNA host gene 8(SNHG8)has been found to be related to a variety of human diseases, such as esophageal cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, and myocardial infarction.Based on previous studies on the expression of SNHG8,it has become obvious that SNH G8 can regulate the occurrence and progression of diseases by acting as a competitive endogenous RNA(ceRNA).SNH G8 can regulate downstream signal pathways by acting on related miRNAs and miRNA target genes. In addition, the overexpression of SNHG8 was closely related to the clinical characteristics of patients, and regulates the proliferation, invasion, metastasis and anti-apoptosis of tumor cells through different molecular mechanisms. The role of SNHG8 in the occurrence and progression of the disease indicates that SNH G8 can be used as a new target for tumor treatment or as a diagnostic biomarker.
