Research on HBV Detection and Infection Status of Pregnant Women in Ningxia Region
Objective To understand the status of maternal testing, detection, and trends of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection among pregnant women in Ningxia region 2015-2021.Methods Data were collected from the monthly work report on maternal HBV testings and the case-reporting records of HBV-positive pregnant women, from the National Management Infogam System of China's Prevention of Mother-to-child transmission of HIV,syphilis, and HBV Program.A descriptive method was applied to show both the maternal HBV and predelivery HBV testing rates and maternal HBsAg positive rates as well as the distribution between 2015 and 2021.Results 2015-2021,maternal HBV test rates were nearly 99.95%,and predelivery maternal HBV testing increased from 69.11%to 98.13%.A total of 24 600 HBV-positives were detected from 648 360 pregnant, with the HBsAg positives rate as 3.79%.Among 24 600 HBsAg positive pregnant women,4 847(19.70%)of them were tested at labor. The predelivery maternal HBsAg positive rates increased yearly, and maternal HBsAg positive rates at labor reduced yearly.2015-2019,the maternal HBsAg positive rate at labor was higher than that in the pregnant women who received HBV test predelivery.Among the reported 2 435 HBsAg positives pregnant women, the first pattern of infection was predominant in the 14-<25 age group. The second pattern of infection was predominant in the 25-<35 and 35-<47 age groups. Conclusion 2015-2021,the maternal HBV test rates was at a high level, predelivery maternal HBV testing increased yearly, but the maternal HBV test rates at labor still existed. We need to take measures to promote early HBV testing during pregnancy, and strengthen disease surveillance and management.
