Relationship between Different HbA1c Levels and Thyroid Hormone Metabolism in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To investigate the effect of HbA1c on thyroid hormone levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,168 T2DM patients from a top-three hospital in Ningxia from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects, and the relationship between HbA1c levels and thyroid hormone metabolism was analyzed by multiple linear regression. Results The level of FT3 in females was lower than that in males(P<0.05),The differences in FT3,FT4,and TSH levels among different HbA1c levels were statistically significant(P all<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that HbA1c was negatively correlated with FT3 and TSH levels(Pall<0.01);HbA1c was positively correlated with FT4 levels(P<0.01).Conclusion Different HbA1c levels in T2DM patients can affect thyroid hormone metabolism.
