Analysis of Related Factors Affecting Prognosis of Laryngeal Cancer Patients
Objective To analyze the prognostic factors of laryngeal cancer, and to provide evidence for the selection and improvement of treatment and prognosis of laryngeal cancer patients. Methods 222 cases of laryngeal cancer hospitalized and treated in General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January 201 1 to December 2017 were confirmed by electronic laryngoscope, neck enhanced CT and pathological biopsy before surgery.Data were collected to record the patients general condition, pathological stage, clinical stage and surgical method.Kaplan-Meier method and Cox regression model were used for survival analysis. Results The 1,3,5 and 7-year survival rates of 222 patients with laryngeal cancer were 93.1%,84.8%,70.4%and 63.6%,respectively.There were statistically significant differences in survival rates among patients with laryngeal cancer of different ages, clinical stages, and surgical methods(P all<0.05).Cox regression model analysis showed that factors affected survival including age(RR=3.448,P<0.001)and clinical stage(RR=0.302,P=0.004).Conclusion Age and clinical staging have an impact on the survival prognosis of laryngeal cancer patients, and personalized treatment should be selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of multiple factors during treatment.
