Effect of Intramuscular Adhesive Combined with Acupuncture on the Ability of Recruitable Muscle Fiber Number and Proprioception of Knee Joint in Patients with Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury
Objective To investigate the effects of intramuscular adhesive combined with acupuncture on the ability of recruitable muscle fiber number and proprioception of knee joints in patients with anterior cruciate ligament injury. Methods 50 patients with an anterior cruciate ligament injuries in Nantong Third People's Hospital from September 1,2020 to September 1,2022 were selected and divided into observation group(25 cases)and control group(25 cases)according to the random number table method. All patients were treated with arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. The control group received routine rehabilitation training after surgery, and the observation group was supplemented with intramuscular adhesive combined with acupuncture. The efficacy of the two groups was compared. The recruitable muscle fiber number(RMS),proprioception(JPSA,△ JPSA,motor function(Fugl-Meyer score)and balance function(BBS score)of the two groups were evaluated before treatment,6 weeks after treatment and 3 months after treatment. The recurrence rate of anterior cruciate ligament injury was recorded during 1-year follow-up.Results The total effective rate of Western medicine and Chinese medicine in the observation group were higher than those in the conventional group(P all<0.05).The RMS of the medial head muscle, lateral femoral head muscle, and rectus femoris muscle in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at 6 weeks and 3 months after treatment(P all<0.05).At 6 weeks and 3 months after treatment, the JPSA and △ JPSA of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P all<0.05).FMA and BBS scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at 6 weeks and 3 months after treatment(P all<0.05).After 1-year follow-up,the recurrence rate of ACL injury in the observation group and the control group had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment of anterior cruciate ligament injury with intramuscular adhesive combined with acupuncture can improve the recruitment the ability of knee flexor extensor muscle fiber, enhance the stability of knee joint, improve motor function and balance function, and play a positive role in preventing recurrence.
