The Study of the Relationship between Different Vertical Skeletal Types of Skeletal Class Ⅱ Occlusal Plane and Tooth Position
Objective To study the relationship between different vertical skeletal types of skeletal Class Ⅱocclusal plane and tooth position. Methods A total of 131 Class Ⅱ orthodontic patientswere included, were performed Cone beam CT(CBCT)reconstruction lateral cephalogramsand compared measurements,to analysis the relationship between different vertical skeletal types of skeletal Class Ⅱ occlusal plane and tooth inclination and the vertical height. Results In the high-angle group, the angles of upper and lower incisors were more upright and farther apart from palatal plane, and the correlation with OP-A and OP-C was stronger(P all<0.05);The tooth axial inclinations of maxillary and mandibular posterior teeth was significantly different among the three groups, which was negatively related to the occlusal plane, the steeper the occlusal plane was,the more proclined distally molarswas, and the more significant related to posterior occlusal plane(P all<0.05).The U6-PP,U7-PP and L7-MP distances were the smallest in the high-angle group, and more negative significant correlation between U6-PP and OP-C,U7-PP and OP-P(P all<0.05).Conclusion Skeletal Class Ⅱ OP-A and OP-Pocclusal planeis respectively closely related to the position of the maxillary incisors and second molars.
