Investigation on Discharge Readiness of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients and Analysis of its Influencing Factors
Objective To investigate the discharge readiness of type 2 diabetic patients(T2DM)and analyze its influencing factors. Methods From March to December 2022,276 patients with T2DM who were hospitalized in the Department of Endocrinology,Wuzhong People's Hospital were selected by convenience sampling method.Discharge readiness scale, discharge guidance quality scale and general information questionnaire were used to investigate.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of discharge readiness of patients with T2DM.Results The total score of discharge readiness was(85.43±18.52),and the average score of all items was(7.12±1.54).The discharge readiness was positively correlated with the quality of discharge guidance(P<0.05).There were significant differences in discharge readiness among patients with different age, education level, living style,self-care ability, medication type, hospitalization times and complications(P all<0.05).Multiple regression analysis showed that age, education level, residence style, hospitalization times for patients with T2DM and types of complications, uality of discharge guidance could the main influencing factors of discharge readiness of patients withT2DM(P all<0.05),explaining 39.8%of the variance. Conclusion Medical staff can start from the main factors affecting the discharge readiness of patients with T2DM,and provide them with effective discharge guidance and multiple support systems,as well as to improve the self-management ability of patients and their families,so as to improve their discharge readiness.
