Objective To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of du-moxibustion combined with Duhuojisheng mixture in the treatment of patients with osteoporosis of kidney Yang deficiency syndrome.Methods A total of 60 patients with osteoporosis of kidney Yang deficiency type were included and the patients were randomly received Alfacalcidol Soft Capsule orally in control group(n=30)or du-moxibustion combined with Duhuojisheng mixture in study group(n=30).The basic treatment of lifestyle adjustment and supplements for bone health were given to all patients for 12 weeks.The level of BMD T-score,25-(OH)D,N-MID and PTH were measured.The TCM syndrome score,Lumbar pain VAS score and the adverse reactions were recorded.Results After treatment levels of lumbar1,lumbar2,lumbar3,lumbar4,left hip joint BMD T-score,25-(OH)D and N-MID in the two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment(P all＜0.05).The levels of PTH,the score of TCM syndrome,and lumbar pain VAS were significantly decreased(Pall＜0.05).Compared with the control group,25-(OH)D and N-MID in the study group were significantly increased after treatment(P all＜0.05),while the levels of lumbar 3 BMD T-score,the score of TCM syndrome and lumbar pain VAS were significantly decreased(P all＜0.05).The overall incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(6.67％vs.26.67％,P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of du-moxibustion combined with Duhuojisheng mixture can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of osteoporosis of kidney Yang deficiency syndrome.
