Progress in the Study of Drugs for the Treatment of Acute Otitis Media in Children
Acute otitis media is one of the common diseases for which antimicrobial drugs are prescribed for children in our country.Excessive and inappropriate use of antibiotics can lead to bacterial resistance and prolong the disease.A high incidence of acute otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae,Haemophilus influenzae and Moraxella catarrhalis.Although amoxicillin is still the first line of clinical use,it has been found that due to the different susceptibility of different bacteria to antibiotics, some bacteria can cause disease and recover without antibiotics.Proper medication guidance can give clinicians more accurate use of drugs and reduce the frequency of antibiotic use to reduce the development of bacterial resistance. Therefore, this article provides a systematic review of antibiotic and non-antibiotic drugs for the treatment of acute otitis media and presents the latest advances in the pharmacological treatment of acute otitis media.
