Determination and Quality Evaluation of Volatile Components in Shexiang Zhitong Plaster
Objective To establish a gas chromatography method for the simultaneous determination of menthol,borneol and methyl salicylate in Shexiang Zhitong plaster with naphthalene as an internal standard.Methods A DB-WAX capillary column(30 m × 0.32 mm,0.5 μm)and a FID detector were used.The initial temperature was 100℃,and the temperature was raised to 200 ℃ at the rate of 4 ℃ min-1,maintained for 6 min.The flow rate was 1.8 mL·min-1,the split ratio was 10:1,and the injection volume was 1.0 μL.Results Menthol,bornol and methyl salicylate were linear in the range of 0.099 8-0.598 6 g·L-1(r=0.999 8),0.126 8-0.760 7 g·L-1(r=0.999 7)and 0.103 9-0.623 6 g·L-1(r=0.999 8).The average recoveries were 102.1%,98.5%and 100.8%respectively.RSD was 1.9%,1.9%and 1.6%respectively.After determining the samples from 9 manufacturers,it was found that there were significant differences in the content of volatile components among different manufacturers,and the influence of the hot pressing process on the content of volatile components was less than that of the solvent method.Conclusion The method is simple,accurate,repeatable and stable,which can provide a scientific basis for the quality control of Shexiang Zhitong plaster.
