Diagnostic value of bimodal ultrasound elastography strategies in the differentiation of non-mass like breast lesions
Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of shear-wave elastography(SWE)and strain elastography(SE)in non-mass-like(NML)breast lesions. Methods 60 NML breast lesions were prospectively recruited and underwent preoperative dual-modality ultrasound elastography with SWE versus SE.And they were compared with puncture biopsy, rotational excision,or post-sur-gical pathology results. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive likelihood ratio, and negative likelihood ratio were compared be-tween two diagnostic methods. Results The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy,PLR and NLR of SE for diagnosing non-mass-like malig-nant breast lesions were 81.8%,74.1%,78.3%,79.4%and 76.9%,respectively,while those of SWE were 75.8%,85.2%,80.0%,86.2%,74.2%,respectively.Besides,area under the ROC curve of the two diagnostic methods was 0.805 and 0.779,respectively,and the diagnostic efficacy of SE was higher than that of SWE,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Both elastography methods of SWE and SE can provide good diagnostic efficacy in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast NML,and their combined use can complement each other in diagnosis
