Analysis on depression status and influencing factors in elderly patients with COPD combined with dysphagia
Objective To investigate the depression status and influencing factors in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)combined with dysphagia.Methods 13 general hospitals in Ningxia were selected by convenience sampling method.241 patients were investigated by using the general data questionnaire,Water Swallowing Test,Geriatric Depression Scale,COPD Assessment Test,Barthel Index,The Mini Nutritional Assessment-Short Form,MNA-SF and the FRAIL Frail Evaluation scale.The in-fluencing factors of depression in elderly patients with COPD combined with dysphagia were analyzed.Results The incidence of depres-sion in elderly patients with COPD combined with dysphagia was 68.88%.Logistic regression analysis showed that age,education level,ability of daily living,dyspnea degree,severity of disease,dysphagia degree and living style were the factors influencing the occurrence of depression in patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of depression is high in the patients,and clinical staff can develop inter-ventions to prevent depressive conditions based on the influencing factors.
