Clinical observation of the therapeutic effect, pain and recurrence rate of total arthroscopic double posteromedial approach resection in patients with popliteal cyst
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect, pain and recurrence rate of total arthroscopic double posteromedial approach resection in patients with popliteal cysts. Methods A total of 60 patients with popliteal cyst were selected as the observation objects, and they were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the differences in surgical methods(n=30).The patients in control group were given conventional surgical methods, and the patients in experimental group were given total ar-throscopic double posteromedial approach resection. The surgical effect, pain and recurrence rate were compared in two groups. Results The results of Rauschning and Lindgren in the experimental group showed 27 cases of grade 0(90%),while the results of Rauschning and Lindgren showed 10 cases of grade 0(33.33%)in the control group. There was no differences in knee score(LKS)and visual analogue score(VAS)between two groups before surgery(P>0.05).Six months after surgery, the LKS score of the experi-mental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the VAS score was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the recurrence rate of the experimental group was 0 three months after surgery,3.33%6 months after surgery, and 6.67%in 9 months after surgery, which were lower than those in control group with a recurrence rate of 13.33%in 3 months after surgery,20.00%in 6 months after surgery, and 26.67%in 9 months after surgery. Conclusion The use of total arthroscopic double posterior medial ap-proach resection for patients with popliteal cyst has achieved significant clinical results, which not only reduces the postoperative pain of patients, promotes knee joint recovery, but also reduces the recurrence rate and improves the happiness index of patients, which is worthy of promotion and application.
