The effects of upper respiratory tract virus infection on pregnancy outcomes during pregnancy and the effects of upper respiratory tract virus infection on maternal and fetal health at different stages
Objective To investigate the effects of upper respiratory tract virus infection during pregnancy on pregnancy out-comes,and the effects of upper respiratory tract virus infection on pregnant women and fetuses at different stages of pregnancy. Methods A total of 183 pregnant women were included, including 99 in the upper respiratory tract virus infection group and 84 in the non-upper re-spiratory tract virus infection group. The basic data and adverse pregnancy outcomes of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Accord-ing to the gestational age of infection, the upper respiratory tract virus infection group was divided into three groups:early pregnancy, middle pregnancy and late pregnancy. The influence of upper respiratory tract virus infection on pregnant women and fetuses at different stages were compared. Results The incidence rate of pregnancy complications in the upper respiratory tract virus infection group(43.4%)was higher than that in the non-upper respiratory tract virus infection group(21.4%,P<0.05).The premature birth rate of the upper respiratory vi-rus infection group(14.1%)was significantly higher than that of the non-upper respiratory virus infection group(4.8%,P<0.05).The incidence rate of fetal distress and fetal growth retardation in upper respiratory tract virus infection group was higher than that in non-up-per respiratory tract virus infection group(P<0.05).The cesarean section rate of pregnant women infected with upper respiratory tract vi-rus in the third trimester was higher than that of pregnant women infected at other stages. Conclusion Upper respiratory tract virus infec-tion during pregnancy is correlated with adverse pregnancy outcomes. The effects of upper respiratory tract virus infection in different stages of pregnancy(early, middle and late)on cesarean section rate were significantly different.
