Application of magnetic resonance T2 mapping technique in the evaluation of surviving myocardium after myocardial infarction
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of magnetic resonance T2 mapping in diagnosing myocardial survival in patients with myocardial infarction(MI).Methods Magnetic resonance imaging data of 22 patients with acute MI stage,23 patients with chronic MI stage and 31 healthy volunteers(control group)were retrospectively analyzed.CVI42 software was used to measure the cardiac muscle segment T2 value of each group and perform statistical analysis. Results The T2 values of control myocardium, the myo-cardium in the acute stage of MI and the myocardium in the remote infarction area of MI chronic stage were(48.14±5.59)ms,(50.29±2.13)ms and(49.00±3.25)ms,respectively,and there was no significant difference among the three groups(P>0.05).The T2 values of myocardial infarction in acute stage and chronic stage of MI were(59.99±5.44)ms and(60.24±6.60)ms,respec-tively,and the T2 values of myocardial infarction in acute stage and chronic stage were significantly different from those of normal myo-cardes(including those in distant infarction areas)(P<0.05)..Conclusion There is ischemic myocartis around the infarcted myo-cartis in both acute and chronic MI patients.T2 mapping can be used to show the distribution range of the infarcted core area, salvageable myocartis and normal myocartis.
