Effects of the mobile bracket of portable chest drainage bottle in patients undergoing closed chest drainage
Objective To evaluate the effect of using a portable mobile bracket in 200 patients undergoing chest drainage surgery. Methods A total of 200 patients who underwent closed thoracic drainage were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 100 cases in each group. After surgery, the chest bottle was placed beside the bed in the control group, and conventional closed thoracic drainage knowledge education and encouragement were given to carry the drainage bottle and walk.In the observation group, the chest drainage bottle was installed on a mobile bracket, and the same education and encouragement were given.Field activity time,drain-age tube placement time, hospital stay,24-hour rate of leaving bed, tube related VAS score,6-minute walking distance(6MWD),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),ability of daily life(ADL)and Bruggeman Comfort Scale(BCS)of nurs-ing comfort at different time points were compared between the two groups, and nursing related complications were recorded. Results The field activity time, drainage tube placement time, hospital stay,24-hour rate of leaving bed of the observation group was lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The VAS score of the observation group at 24 hours,48 hours after surgery and before the removal of the drainage tube were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The6MWD of the observation group was higher than that of the control group before and after removal of the drainage tube(P<0.05).There were statistical differences in SAS and SDS between the two groups after surgery(P<0.05).The ADL of the observation group at48 hours after operation and after removing the drainage tube was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The BCS score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at24 hours and48 hours after surgery(P<0.05).The complication rate was of 3%(3/100)in the observation group and was of 17%(17/100)in the control group. Conclusion The application of portable chest bottle mobile bracket can significantly increase the 24-hour rate of patients leaving the bed after thoracic drainage, reduce the catheterization time, shorten the length of hospital stay, significantly improve the clinical effect, and reduce the incidence of nursing related complications.
