The preoperative diagnostic value of quantitative susceptibility mapping technology for the malignancy and prognosis of glioma
Objective To explore the preoperative diagnostic value of quantitative susceptibility mapping(QSM)for the malig-nancy of intracranial gliomas. Methods The imaging data was collected from 15 patients with gliomas who underwent their first surgical treatment and underwent preoperative QSM examination. The difference in magnetic susceptibility of the target area before surgery was measure and its correlation with postoperative pathological features was analyzed. Results The magnetic susceptibility values of the ROI region and the normal control region were different, the tumor changed the local magnetic susceptibility values; The difference in magnetic susceptibility between ROI and control regions between high-grade and low-grade gliomas was statistically significant(P<0.05);The difference in magnetic susceptibility has certain diagnostic value for high-grade gliomas. Conclusion QSM technology can improve the detection rate of high-grade gliomas before surgery, providing certain reference value for preoperative diagnosis of gliomas.
