Objective To investigate the prevalence of hypertension among perimenopausal women in the southern mountainous region of Ningxia and analyze the associated risk factors. Methods A random sampling method was used to select 395 perimenopausal women aged 45 to 55 years from the resident population in the southern mountainous region.A self-designed epidemiological question-naire was used to assess the prevalence of hypertension and analyze related risk factors. Results Among 162 perimenopausal women,25 cases were diagnosed with hypertension, and the prevalence rate was 15.43%.The univariate analysis revealed that the incidence of hypertension prevalence in perimenopausal women was significantly associated with age, income level,high-fat diet, intake of miscellane-ous grains, and family history of hypertension(P<0.05).Further multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that age, family histo-ry of hypertension,high-fat diet, and miscellaneous grains were the major influencing factors of hypertension in perimenopausal women(P<0.05).Conclusion Age,family history of hypertension and high-fat diet are related to the incidence of hypertension in perim-enopausal women.Implementing targeted preventive measures and effectively managing these factors may reduce the prevalence of hyper-tension in perimenopausal women.
