Allelopathy of Aqueous Extracts from Kernel Apricot Leaves on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of 8 Types of Weeds
[Aims] The aim of the research was to explore the inhibition on 8 types of weeds of aqueous extracts from kernel apricot leaves.[Methods] The effects of the allelopathy of aqueous extracts from kernel apricot leaves on seed germination and seedling growth of 8 types of weeds were checked by indoor experiment.[Results] The aqueous extracts from kernel apricot leaves had obvious inhibitory effects on those grass and broadleaves weeds. The inhibitory effects of seeds germination, root length, seedling length and the fresh weight of root and seedling decreased with increasing of kernel apricot leaves contents of aqueous extracts. When the tested concentration was 200 g/L,the integrated allelopathy of aqueous extracts on grass weed and broadleaves weed was-0.13-0.21 and-0.25-0.38,separately.By synthetically effect, broadleaves weed was more sensitive to aqueous extracts from kernel apricot leaves than grass weed.
