Current Progress in Research of Botanical Insecticides in China and Worldwide
Botanical insecticides are derived from plant extract with insecticidal effects.Compared with conventional insecticides,botanical insecticides stand out as being more pleiotropic,efficient,degradable,however triggering less residue or resistance.Therefore they reflect the trend for insecticide development in future.This paper reviewed the latest progress in botanical insecticide research around the world,and elucidated the mechanism of its function.Furthermore,we have elaborated the industrial application of botanical insecticide,its advantages and shortcomings,and predicted its prospect for massive application.
