The sensitivity of different varieties of rice to oxyfluorfen
[Aims]This study aims to clarify the sensitivity of different varieties of rice to oxyfluorfen, and improve the safety of herbicide to rice.[Methods]We selected 38 varieties of rice as research subjects. The whole plant bioassay method was used to determine the effects of oxyfluorfen on plant height, yield and other growth indicators of different varieties of rice.[Results]For herbicide-resistant rice, the plant height recovery rate was high, which ranged from 6.1%to 32.54%,and the yield was not affected by the herbicide. For medium-tolerant rice, the plant height recovery rate ranged from-10.02%to 26.97%,with the yield loss within 1.67%,which showed no significant difference compared with the respective yields of the control. For sensitive rice, the plant height recovery ranged from-6.17%to 7.18%,with the yield loss ranging from 2.08%to 5.67%,which was significantly different from that of the control.[Conclusions]Different varieties of rice have different sensitivity to oxyfluorfen. For the varieties of resistant rice, oxyfluorfen can be used safely within the recommended dosage range. For the varieties of sensitive rice,it should be mixed with other herbicides or replaced.
