Determination of fipronil and its metabolite residues in poultry and livestock meat by GC-ECD
[Aims]This study aims to establish a method for the determination of fipronil and its metabolite residues in poultry and livestock meat by gas chromatography-electron capture detector.[Methods]The samples were extracted by acetonitrile and purified by n-hexane liquid-liquid distribution, the extracted solution was further purified with QuEChERS method to reduce matrix interference, the matrix effect was eliminated by matrix blank solution, and the components were separated by HP-5MS capillary column and analyzed by gas chromatography-electron capture detector.Quantitative analysis was carried out by external standard method.[Results]The fipronil and its three metabolite residues had good liner relationships in the range of 0.001 to 0.2 mg/L,with correlation coefficients more than 0.999.The recoveries of fipronil and its residues at 3 spiked levels(0.001,0.01,0.1 mg/kg)were 75.9%-119.4%,and the relative standard deviations were less than 5.0%.[Conclusions]The method is simple, convenient, sensitive and accurate, and is suitable for the analysis and detection of the residues of fipronil and its three metabolites in poultry and livestock meat.
