Control efficacy of flonicamid combined with dinotefuran against Nilaparvata lugens
[Aims]This study aims to verify the rationality of combining flonicamid with dinotefuran and evaluate the integrated control efficacy of them against the brown planthopper(Nilaparvata lugens).[Methods]In adherence to the guidelines for insecticidal bioassay testing, this study employs an integrated approach combining laboratory bioactivity assays with field efficacy trials to comprehensively and accurately evaluate the performance of the pesticides.[Results]The test results revealed that the combination of flonicamid and dinotefuran displayed a pronounced synergistic effect, with the optimal ratio identified as 1:3.At this ratio, the application of flonicamid·dinotefuran 20%suspension concentrate at a rate of 375 mL/hm2 on rice plants showed a significant control effect against the brown planthoppers. On day 7 after treatment, the control efficacy reached 95.65%,which is notably superior compared to flonicamid 20%SC and dinotefuran 20%SC.[Conclusions]The combination of flonicamid and dinotefuran displays a notable synergistic effect, making it suitable for the effective control of N.lugens in paddy fields.
